The Honors Program wants to support YOU!

GHC’s Honors Program exists to support our outstanding students as each of them engages with undergraduate research. To that end, we have created multiple pathways for requesting support of ongoing research, presentation of completed research, and engagement with the research community.

Request Support for a Proposed/Ongoing Project

Some undergraduate research requires or benefits from the use of goods or licenses to access goods that are not currently owned by GHC. You can request that the Honors Program purchases or partners with your Department/School to purchase such a good or license to use in your honors project. For example, you might ask that we purchase a set of cell samples not stocked by the Biology Department, or a program license not held by Computer Sciences, or a piece of recording equipment not owned by the Media Labs. Note that all purchases must be directly necessary to a specific honors project, and that any remaining good or license period still useful to other students becomes the property of the GHC Department or School at the end of the semester in which the project was attempted. If you need something for your research, apply today!

Request Support for Travel

There are many opportunities for you to submit your completed Honors Projects for presentation or publication in State, Regional, and National events and organizations. Presenting for even small audiences at regional conferences is great experience, and any resume or application benefits from being able to say that you entered into a competitive process and were selected to present your research. Honors students accepted to present should apply for support – the Honors Program can pay for event registration and lodging as needed to support your participation. We can also consider applications for travel funding to support Honors students’ participation in undergraduate research or discipline specific events sanctioned by the Honors Program. Apply today!
