Face-to-face tutoring is now available on all sites.  The Tutorial Center is also continuing to offer virtual tutoring via Teams.

Virtual tutoring will be done via Teams, where you and the tutor will be able to video chat.   You can share your screen with the tutor so that they can see the assignment you are working on.  Most math and science tutors have the ability to share a virtual whiteboard with you so that you can see a problem being worked out step by step. 

For all subjects other than math, yes; please make an appointment for these subjects by logging into Navigate.  Math tutoring can be received via a Navigate appointment or by drop-in. 

Yes, Navigate will allow you to select which tutor you would like to make an appointment with.  Refer to our Tutor Bios page for help in selecting a tutor.  You can refer to the master schedule to see each tutor’s hours and subject areas.

It is best if you have attempted your homework or study guide before your tutoring session.  Try to have specific questions ready for the tutor.  If you are working on a paper, please have the assignment accessible, and come prepared with a rough draft.  

No.  It is up to students to know which assignments they are allowed to receive outside help on.  In general, we will not help with anything that is marked as a test or quiz unless otherwise notified by the instructor.  We are also asked to not help with certain projects.  Always refer to your syllabus or ask the instructor if you are unsure.
