The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is research designed specifically to examine the teaching in your classroom or institution-wide instruction. SoTL is not the same as discipline-specific research, but rather usually begins with a teaching question and continues with a systematic procedure to examine a new teaching practice.
