Welcome to the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at Georgia Highlands College. CETL proudly supports faculty in their pursuit of providing the best teaching practices to encourage student success. CETLs mission aligns to the institutional GHC mission and vision, focused on providing faculty development programming and workshops, as well as teaching services, such as classroom observations and consultations. Additionally, first and second year faculty participate in New Faculty Academy which allows for exploration and examination of research-based instructional strategies, as well as institutional procedures. Opportunities for funding are also available as budget permits and if aligned to the institutional mission.
Feel free to request teaching-related services and events. CETL is a safe place for all faculty to participate in programs, seek resources and services, and confidentially consult with CETL staff about their practice.
