Atrium Pathway/Scholarship Program FAQs

The scholarship awards $3000 per year or the equivalent of $1500 per semester. The max allowed is $6000 for two years in the Nursing program.

You must commit to work for Atrium Health Floyd for 2 years (24 months) and must be hired within 90 days of graduation from the program at GHC.

If you cannot fulfill the 2-year commitment, you must pay the money back. If you have not been hired or started employment with Atrium Health Floyd, you must repay the full balance received. If you have started employment with Atrium Health Floyd but terminate that employment the balance to be paid back is prorated based on how many months, you have completed employment.

Yes, any amount received requires a 2-year commitment.

Any scholarships outside of this program will have criteria indicating eligibility.

Your name is given to the business office at GHC, as a Pathways Program recipient once you are awarded. They then flag your account as a recipient to indicate you will be receiving funds towards your tuition. These funds go directly towards your tuition balance. No check is personally issued to the student.
