Elementary Spanish 1

This online class is designed to develop the Spanish language skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening in the present tense.  Students will acquire an appreciation for the cultural diversity of the Spanish speaking world.  Material for the course is based on 22 lectures found on YouTube.  Students will complete online homework, discussions and testing on D2L.  I am available to students via email at kgarcia@highlands.edu and will hold office hours via Zoom.  I look forward to working with everyone!

This course is an introduction to listening, speaking, reading and writing in Spanish and the culture of Spanish-speaking regions. Groups of ten students will meet once a week, with the full class of twenty students enrolled in D2L sections.
