Spanish
What can you do with a Spanish Degree?
With approximately 500 million speakers, Spanish is the most widely spoken language in the world ("Who Are the Speakers?"). In an increasingly global economy, businesses struggle to find sufficient Spanish-speaking employees. In today’s job market, many businesses offer cash bonuses and incentives to employees who speak Spanish or are willing to learn Spanish. A job seeker who speaks Spanish often has a distinct edge over other applicants.
Students interested in improving their Spanish language ability beyond the classroom may also contact Kathryn Garcia about the Spanish Language Film Club or take part in Spanish Activities Club to help our campuses celebrate holidays from Spanish-speaking regions.
