Oil Paints (Go for student grade  – Winton, for example)                                  

Titanium White                                                                                            

Ivory Black or Payne’s Gray

Cadmium Red                                                            Canvas:

Alizarin Crimson                                            Several canvas boards – 11×14

Ultramarine Blue                                          Stretched canvases (4 or so) -14×18

Pthalo Blue                                                    Stretched canvases (2) – 14×18 at least

Cadmium Yellow Light

Yellow Ochre

Burnt Umber

Burnt Sienna

Brushes (Go for natural, not synthetic, if you can)

Best to get Flats, Filberts, or Brights –

Various sizes – two 4’s, two 6’s, two 10’s, at least one 1 or 2,  at least one 14

Add more brushes when you can

Additional:

Odorless Mineral Spirits

Palette knife (at least one – make them metal)

Palette (would will work, but glass can be easier to clean – try to make it large, 14×18 or so)

Soap

Rags

Jars – pasta jars work well

Linseed Stand oil
