Independent Study exams are any exam not offered for GHC-related purposes. Anyone taking courses at another institution or seeking certifications that require a proctored exam may seek approval with the institution in question to use GHC Testing Services for the proctored requirement.
Being prepared for an exam before arriving at the testing location is essential. Please contact the institution or other body requiring the proctored experience if you have questions about exam content or how to prepare PRIOR to your testing session.
It is important to know beforehand all details about your exam such as what materials are allowed, etc.

Independent Study exams are administered at Cartersville or Floyd.
How much does this exam cost and where can I pay?
$50 per exam
Charge for the exam can be paid the day of testing at the Business Office or business office representative at each location.
What items can I bring to the test?
You are required to bring a government-issued photo ID with signature (driver’s license, passport, state ID, military ID) that is current and valid.
Other items allowed during testing are determined and communicated by the institution or other entity requiring the proctored exam.
GHC proctors will follow all instructions given to Testing Services by the institution in question. No exceptions will be made.
