Organizational Leadership
Welcome to Organizational Leadership at Georgia Highlands College (GHC)! Organizational leadership focuses on practices, theories, issues, and ramifications of leading organizations and businesses. Students will engage with various topics including management, administration, human resources, and technology that can be applied to the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Essential skills students will gain in the program include effective communication, strategic decision-making, and fostering a positive organizational culture.
GHC offers a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership. This degree is offered in partnership with eMajor.
Concentrations
There are four concentrations students can select in the Organizational Leadership degree. These concentrations include: Health Care Administration, Office Administration and Technology, Public Service, and Social Justice.
Health Care Administration
This particular concentration prepares students for health services careers with employers such as hospitals, insurance companies, and pharmaceutical companies.
Office Administration and Technology
This concentration prepares students for administrative support, supervisory, and managerial positions in an office setting.
Public Service
This concentration prepares students for careers in the public service including public safety, state and local public administration, and nonprofit management.
Social Justice
This concentration prepares students for careers that promote social equity change in law enforcement, the justice system, healthcare, and the economy.
eMajor
eMajor is part of the University System of Georgia’s eCampus. eMajor offers 8-week courses with a tuition rate of $199 per credit hour. All courses are online and have open resource textbooks.
