Central Sterile Processing Technicians, also known as Central Supply Technicians and Medical Equipment Preparers, are crucial members of the healthcare team.  They work in hospitals, outpatient care centers, physicians’ offices, dental offices, and other ambulatory health services. They are responsible for decontaminating, disinfecting, and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.  Additional Central Sterile Processing Technicians assemble, distribute and store medical devices and equipment needed for patient care. In this 80-hour classroom-based program students will learn to clean, decontaminate, and distribute medical instruments and equipment, as they prepare for a rewarding career in healthcare. Certification through CBSPD or HSPA is highly recommended.

Students will need to have access to the internet, PC, laptop, or tablet, and access to a printer in order to participate.
