Quality Enhancement Plan 2025
QEP: Quality Enhancement Plan
What is the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)?
The QEP is a required part of SACSCOC reaccreditation, but it’s much more than just a box to check. It’s our opportunity to come together as a college, choose one important area to improve, and put a focused plan into action. By working toward a shared goal, we can make a lasting difference for our college, our students, and our community.

We began this process in September 2025, holding a series of Town Halls and listening sessions that sought ideas from everyone: students, faculty, staff, and our community partners. After those meetings we identified the key topics and sent out a survey to everyone at GHC. This helped us identify our top three to five topics. In early November 2025, subcommittees were established and those key topics are now being turned into more formal proposals.
In January 2026, we will present videos and information about these proposals and over the course of the spring semester we will hold more town halls and meetings eventually cumulating in a college-wide vote for our next QEP!
Fall of 2026 will be filled with initial planning, including a literature review and assessment details. We will also identify our lead evaluator. As we move into Spring and Summer 2027 we will submit our QEP Focused Report, which focuses on our selection process and learning objectives, to SACSCOC. SACS will make their campus visit in Fall 2026 and the Implementation Team will be convened. We will hire the QEP Director in Spring 2028, and launch the Plan in Fall 2028.
