Major: Computer Science
Hello, my name is Lusero Escutia, a Computer Science major at Georgia Highlands College working toward my Associate of Science degree. I plan to transfer to Kennesaw State University to earn my bachelor’s, where I plan to specialize in computer software with a focus on robotics.
I’ve had the opportunity to work on several hands-on projects. One of those projects was an Honors project where I created a game in the Godot engine featuring a player who collects apples while dodging flying goats. Currently, I’m collaborating with the Ape Initiative to develop a web application designed to track health and dietary information. I am excited to keep on growing my knowledge and connections I meet along the way.
Dylan Wood
Major: Computer Science
Hi, I’m Dylan! I’m currently majoring in Computer Science at Georgia Highlands College and plan to transfer to Kennesaw State University in 2026, with the goal of earning my bachelor’s degree by 2028. Looking ahead, I hope to pursue my master’s degree at Georgia Tech by 2030, focusing on data science and impactful, real-world tech solutions.
To my right in the photo is my wonderful fiancée—we live together in Kennesaw with our happy pet family: an orange cat, a tabby cat, and a sweet German Shepherd mix. We love to travel, explore new places and cultures, and spend quality time with close friends and family.
Outside of class, I work in fine dining at a hotel in Atlanta, balancing hospitality with my love of tech. I enjoy taking on coding projects, especially ones that challenge me to think creatively, and I unwind by diving into immersive video games.

Hunter Ward
Major: Computer Information Systems
Hello! My name is Hunter Ward, and I am a computer science student who was at GHC for 3 years. I played baseball, took an honors-level course, and worked part-time with the Student Ambassador Program in my years at Highlands. I was allowed to develop a game while enrolled in my CSCI 1302 class, which was my honors course. It is a web game that took learning a new coding language, finding out how to build a game from the ground up, and many energy drinks to push out a final product. I am very happy with the way it plays and cannot thank all the teachers and staff who helped me along the way, not only with the project, but also with my time at Highlands. I hope you enjoy!
