• Submissions should be well written, organized, and address key points.
• Submissions should be error-free.
• Submissions may be written in any format (MLA/APA).
• Submissions should include all Team members' names.
• Teams should back up their claims with research and/or market facts.

• Teams may have one (1) to four (4) GHC students in good standing.
• The CIC is open to all GHC students in any degree pathway.
  • Students are encouraged to team up with students from other majors.
• Teams must appoint a Team Captain.
  • Team Captains will be the single point of contact for the team
  • Single-person teams will be considered Team Captain when registering for the event.
• Teams should create a visual aid for Pitch Day.

• The judging panel will consist of experts from the corporate and entrepreneurial business sectors.
• The judging panel will be given time for a question-answer session in which they are free to ask clarifying questions.
• Pitches will be judged on the following criteria
  1. innovation
  2. creativity
  3. viability
  4. market needs
  5. presentation enthusiasm and passion

Pitch Day judging will follow a few of the same rules as the Virtual Round. Below is a more detailed breakdown of the questions the judges will be scoring.

  • Details of the idea and what it does.
  • How well is the concept explained?
  • How reasonable, scalable, and sustainable is the product or service?
• Value Proposition, Originality, Innovation, Thoughtfulness
  • What is the impact on the problem or market void?
  • What is the new and unique value of the idea, product, or service?
• The Idea, Product, or Service
  • What is the point of difference between any existing or similar products or services on the market?
• Market Analysis
  • What is the void or need the team is trying to fill?
  • How well defined is the target market or niche?
  • What is the growth potential and scalability?
• Feasibility
  • Is your product or service technically practical and feasible to produce and execute?
  • Is there a drawing, prototype, or mockup of your product or idea?
• Team
  • Is the team believable?
  • Is the team passionate about their idea?
  • Did all team members contribute to the pitch?
  • Would investors back the team?
