Who is considered an Alumni of GHC?

For Georgia Highlands College (GHC) or similar institutions, alumni typically include:

1. Graduates – Any person who has completed a degree or certificate program at GHC. We are proud to say you are a GHC Alumni – Go Chargers!
2. Former Students – WE love all of our students, those to start with us, those to take one class to be more successful at work, if you came for our summer classes or even if you started and haven’t finished yet. The GHC Alumni Association is for you! Welcome home!
3. Honorary Alumni – We love those who love GHC. Anyone who invests in us, we want to invest in you. This includes those may not have attended but have become such a great friend to our charger community! In some cases, individuals who have made significant contributions to the college (e.g., faculty, donors, or community members) may be granted honorary alumni status.

Alumni Association Membership Levels and Benefits

Charger (Free – Default for all graduates)

• Access to alumni newsletter and event invitations
• Eligible for basic volunteer and mentorship opportunities
• Recognition in annual alumni report (name only)

Bolt Blue Level ($25/year)

• All Charger level benefits, plus:
• Early access to select event registrations
• Digital membership card with local business discounts (if available)
• GHC Alumni Association sticker or small swag item

Friend of GHC Level ($24/year)

This is membership for people who are not GHC Alumni but have an interest in supporting the college, including faculty and staff.

(GHC Faculty and staff can choose this to be a payroll deduction of $2 per month)

• All Charger level benefits, plus:
• Early access to select event registrations
• Digital membership card with local business discounts (if available)

Opportunity Orange Level ($100/year)

• All Blue benefits, plus:
• Priority seating or VIP access at events
• One GHC-branded gift (tumbler, tote, etc.) annually
• Recognition on the alumni website

Grad Gold Level ($250/year)

• All Orange benefits, plus:
• Invitation to exclusive networking or donor events
• Personal thank-you from a scholarship recipient or GHC student leader
• Recognition in annual report and at key events

Legacy Circle ($1,000/year or $85/month)

• All Gold benefits, plus:
• Named scholarship contribution or program support opportunity
• Lunch with GHC leadership or behind-the-scenes campus tour
• Legacy Circle lapel pin and framed certificate
• Lifetime recognition on a donor wall or website
