Lady Chargers get win in overtime over East Georgia

Behind Sydney Garnigan’s two big shots down the stretch and Taylor Farley huge 3 pointer in overtime the Lady Chargers survive on the road to defeat East Georgia State 51-47 in overtime. GHC playing in their second road game in three days battled tough throughout the first half leading 17-16 at the break. The teams continued to swap the lead back and forth throughout the second half. The game was tied with 33 seconds left in regulation with both teams missing shots to win in regulation.

“Sydney Garnigan hit two big baskets down the stretch and played great and Taylor Farley hit that big 3 pointer that put us by two sealed the win,” said Lady Chargers Head Coach Brandon Harrell.  GHC had 3 players in double digits, with Pam Diokpara with 12 points, Sydney Garnigan with 11 points, and Taylor Farley with 10.

GHC goes to (9-12) on the season and (4-1) in conference play. GHC return to action at home at the Corral on Wednesday versus Central Georgia Tech. Tip off 5:30pm.
