Chargers roll to conference win over East Georgia State

The  #3 Chargers (19-0) –  (6-0) in conference play, go on the road and roll over conference opponent East Georgia College 101 – 70 for their 19th win of the season. The Bobcats of East Georgia keep the game within reach in the first half with GHC leading only by 6, 44 – 38 at the break. The second half was all GHC with the Chargers pushing the lead to 25 points with 6:00 minutes remaining  and pulling away for the 31 point win.

“Proud of the way we came out in the second half and took control of the game, Kyvon had a great night with the double – double, and Ty Cockfield continues to score and be a leader on the floor,” said Charger Head Coach Phil Gaffney.

Kyvon Davenport had an outstanding night with 23 points and 15 rebounds, Ty Cockfield had 22 points. 

The Chargers have a huge conference game on Wednesday at home at the Corral versus the always tough Titans of Central Georgia Tech. Ladies tip off at 5;30pm followed by the men at 7:30pm. We need all of Charger Nation on hand at the Corral for this important GCAA Conference game.
