Lady Chargers fall to South Georgia Tech

The Lady Chargers battled the Lady Jets of South Georgia Tech hard throughout the first half but a strong second half by the Lady Jets was enough to pull away for a 59-45 win. GHC did a great job fighting threw South Georgia Tech’s press in the first half. Maria Crider hit a 3 pointer at  the 3:17 mark of the 1st period to cut South Georgia Tech’s led to 20-14. In the second period GHC cut the led to 2 on Briana Davis 3 pointer and South Georgia Tech led at the half 30-29.

The second half was all South Georgia Tech with the Lady Jets opening the half with a 10-0 run to take a 40-30 lead and never looked back. Leading scorers for the Lady Chargers were Kanisha Tharpe with 11 points, followed by D”Andra Pringle with 8 points. GHC goes to (7-12) on the season and 2-1 in GCAA Conference play. The Lady Chargers will return to action on Wednesday as they travel to take on the Lady Golden Eagles of Chattahoochee Tech. Tip off 5:30pm.
