The Chargers went into tonight’s game on a two game losing streak, losing the last two conference games in overtime. But tonight was a different story with 5 Charger players in double digits and the Charger defeat the Golden Eagles of Chattahoochee Tech 90-80.
GHC had three players with a double / double., Montrel Goldston with 14 points and 12 rebounds, Denzel Council with 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Donovan Harris with 14 points and 11 rebounds. The Chargers were led by Ty Toney with 17 points.
“It was good to see us break out of our shooting slump tonight, we got back into the 90’s. Montrel Goldston stepped up big for us hitting 4 three pointers”, said Chargers head coach Phil Gaffney.
The Chargers go to 22-5 on the season and 12-4 in GCAA Conference play. The Chargers return to action on Saturday at home versus South Georgia State, tip off 2:00pm.
