Copyright can be a confusing and challenging problem when dealing with classroom materials, especially online. This webinar will introduce you to some basic guidelines about educational fair use and how to apply those guidelines in your courses. After a brief introduction to fair use and the TEACH Act, we will address some of your specific questions.


Grading Lab: Alternative Grading Systems

February 7-10, 2023

Want to make grading less painful and more efficient? What if it could also foster student responsibility, discourage cheating, and uphold high academic standards? Sound too good to be true? Join this four-day asynchronous lab learn why it is not. In this lab, you will work independently for four hours to learn about specifications, contract, and meet for 30 minutes virtually to wrap up together. Your work will culminate with the creation of grading plan for your GHC course(s).

“The ‘Designing Your Online Course’ workshop includes an overview of the QM Rubric and provides a framework for participants to design an online course plan. An integral element of the workshop is an exploration of the eight General Standards of the QM Rubric, focusing on learning objectives and overall course alignment. Participants will complete a Course Development Plan. The plan includes all of the essential Specific Review Standards (SRS) with a column for how the participant will meet the SRS in their course and what resources they will need.”
