In recognition of Black History Month, Georgia Highlands College has partnered with filmmakers, The Knights Young Productions, to screen their 53rd NAACP Image Award nominated film, These Final Hours. This film short has garnered several accolades including:
Audience Choice, Portland Film Festival (2021);
Best Short, Sedona International Film Festival (2022), Hip Hop Film Festival (2022), SCAD Savannah Film Festival (2021); and
Best Black Voices, SCAD Savannah Film Festival (2021).

There will be two screenings, each with a panel discussion afterwards—Marietta, 12:30-1:45p and Cartersville, 3:30-4:45p.
While students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend, students interested in social issues and/or film production may find this event particularly interesting. The screening and panel discussion will be moderated GHC’s own, Dr. Bentley Gibson, and will highlight her research on implicit bias and modern racism.
