GHC Inform New Server

Securing information and information systems remains a core responsibility of all University System of Georgia (USG) organizations. The Information Security Program at Georgia Highlands College has determined that systems configured with password authentication alone are no longer secure and at risk of compromise. Therefore, we will be adding Duo multi-factor authentication to the login for the GHC Inform employee daily email digest.

Web Support Services are migrating GHC Inform to a new web server to accommodate the Duo security feature. After successful implementation, this Monday’s GHC Inform email digest will be sent from the updated site and the URL, https://ghcinform.highlands.edu will direct users to the new instance of GHC Inform. Employees who have previously posted to GHC Inform should find that they are able to click the login link from the GHC Inform homepage and post using the same procedure.

VPN or onsite access will be required to login and create posts.

GHC Inform is intended for use by all departments to relay official business of the college to all employees. With manager’s approval, new users of the system should submit a ticket to rt@highlands.edu in order to obtain access.
