Nursing student grateful for scholarship

Receiving a scholarship through the GHC Foundation fills students with a sense of gratitude. GHC student Lisa McAfee said being able to maintain enrollment through a scholarship has been both a privilege and an honor.

“Thanks to your generous support I am on my way to accomplishing my goal and becoming a Registered Nurse,” McAfee said in a thank-you letter. “Growing up in a single parent home has not only offered financial and academic challenges but has also helped me realize the value of a college education. It has given me a strong desire to want to learn more and to be applicable to the world around me.”
