Reminder: Update Your Version of Cisco AnyConnect by Noon This Friday

In a continuing effort to strengthen cybersecurity at GHC, we will soon incorporate multi-factor authentication (Duo Mobile) into our VPN connection process.   Before this happens, your computer MUST be updated to Cisco AnyConnect 4.8.  This process is fairly straightforward and should only take a few minutes.  Please complete this necessary upgrade before noon this Friday, April 24th.

Below are the Windows 10 and macOS instructions for upgrading to AnyConnect 4.8 (if needed, a few other updates such as Zoom and Jabber will occur).

Please note: When AnyConnect4.8 installs successfully, it will abruptly drop your current VPN session with the GHC network.  Simply reconnect again if you still need VPN access.

Windows 10 AnyConnect Update Instructions

1. Connect to the VPN using your current version of Cisco AnyConnect.
2. A minimized command window will open automatically and execute a script that will check the version of key software installed on your device and update it, if necessary.  This may take 4 or 5 minutes to complete all the installs.
