Chargers To Play for GCAA Regular Season Title

On February 15, the Charger men’s basketball team lost a game at the buzzer in overtime to South Georgia State College. The loss dropped them into a first-place tie with Central GA Tech for the GCAA regular season championship and the 1-seed in the GCAA tournament. CGTC is the only other GCAA team to beat the Chargers this year.

Since then, the Chargers have won 3 straight GCAA games to set up a rematch with Central GA Tech on Saturday, Feb 29 in Macon. The winner of the game will win the regular season title and the right to host the GCAA Tournament Final Four. This is a big game for the Chargers.

The team has four players averaging double-figures, led by GCAA Player of the Year candidate Trevin Wade at 17.7 ppg. Cahiem Brown (14.8), Taj Fraley (11.0) and Langston Wilson (10.8) help the Chargers average almost 92 points per game.

The game will not be live streamed. We will post updates as we get them on our Facebook (@GHCAthletics) and Twitter (@ghc_athletics) pages. CGTC usually lets fans live track game stats as well. If that link is available we will share it out as well on social media.
