Please join us in welcoming Jessica Osborne the new Cartersville Campus Librarian! She hails from Georgetown, a small farming community in southwestern Ohio outside of Cincinnati. With a bachelors in English from Alice Lloyd College and and a masters in Information and Library Science from the University of South Carolina, Jessica has enjoyed working with children in education for the past 14 years. She has previously presented at the Annual Georgia Conference for Children’s Literature, KSU Conference on Literature for Children and Young Adults, Georgia COMO Conference, the Women in Appalachia Conference, and the Texas Library Association Conference. She is passionate about the role of literacy, research and recreational reading in her own life, as well as, the lives of her students. She also enjoys crafting and lifting heavy things!
