Pre-Diabetes Prevention Program Interest Meeting

GHC Wellness is partnering with Floyd Medical Center to provide a Pre-Diabetes Prevention Program. We will be holding “class-zero” interest sessions with educators from Floyd. Pre-Diabetes prevention will be offered to all GHC employees and spouses for up to 15 people per cohort.

According to the CDC, pre-diabetes is when your blood sugar is higher than normal but is not yet diabetes. This can put you at greater risk for heart attack, stroke, kidney failure etc. Type 2 diabetes is preventable! Take the pre-diabetes screening test below to see if you qualify for the Pre-Diabetes Prevention Program:

Scores of 3-8: Risk for pre-diabetes is low for now.
Scores of 9 or more: Risk for pre-diabetes is high.
