The 14 members of the campus-based Kennesaw State University Presidential Search and Screen Committee are: …This committee is charged with creating the job description for the position, recruiting candidates and conducting interviews. The Atlanta-based firm, Parker Executive Search, will assist the committee.

The two search committees for the new Kennesaw State University president were named Thursday, Feb. 1, 49 days after Olens announced his resignation on Dec. 14, 2017. The members of the committees were announced via a Board of Regents press release. The two committees are the Presidential Search and Screen Committee and the Regents’ Special Committee. The search and screen committee represent the faculty, staff and students of KSU in the search and are responsible for finding candidates and conducting interviews for the presidency.

The USPOULTRY Foundation recently presented Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College with a $7,000 grant made possible in part by the Don Dalton Student Recruiting Fund. ABAC Chief Development Officer Deidre Martin said $3,000 of the grant will go toward Destination Ag, a program designed to educate young students, pre-k through 5th grade, on the importance of agriculture in today’s world at ABAC’s Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village. …According to Boone, the funds will help to provide “interactive, industry relevant displays along with appropriate educational panels.” Martin said the remaining $4,000 from the grant will help fund ABAC’s efforts to educate college students interested in poultry careers.

Students with disabilities are not “on the radar” of colleges’ efforts and policies to prevent sexual assault, a new federal study has found. The study, conducted by the National Council on Disability, a federal agency, suggests that undergraduates with a disability are more likely to be sexually assaulted than are their peers without a disability, and that colleges don’t know how to support them. About 31.6 percent of female undergraduates with a disability reported having been sexually assaulted, compared with 18.4 percent of undergraduate women without a disability, the study found.
