As you prepare for fall break, be reminded of our 2017 campus-wide holiday planning (updates below).
This year’s holiday season will begin with a cookie tour followed by a holiday sweater contest, vintage holiday photo games, campus-wide voting, and prizes.
The campus visits have been scheduled for Don & Cathy Green to deliver fresh-baked sugar cookies for all employees across all locations. Please take time to visit if possible! If your schedule does not allow a visit, the campus dean/ director will have details where to pick up your cookies and plan for a holiday sweater photo over the following days.

The sugar cookie tour will serve to offer greetings from Don and Cathy and to begin the holiday sweater contest with online submits. Be sure to plan your sweater entry now! The five sweater categories are:

Photo areas are planned for each campus. These areas will be setup for casual phone pics: selfie or assisted. Folks who have opportunity to boast their holiday sweater pride off-campus – especially those for the couple category! – are welcome to capture that opportunity as made available. For the most favorable contest photo, choose a background of solid color and void of distractions. All photo entries should be emailed to holiday2017@highlands.edu
Holiday Sweater Contest Rules
- Limit one (1) photo per employee
- Entry email must indicate the sweater category number 1 – 5
- Must include employee name and GHC campus
DEADLINE TO SUBMIT PHOTOS FOR THE HOLIDAY SWEATER CONTEST IS DECEMBER 7th, 12:00 noon.
Holiday Sweater Prizes
The sweater entry receiving the most votes within each category will receive a $25 gift card at the GHC Bookstore. These gift cards can be used in-store and on-line at

The single sweater entry receiving the most overall votes across all categories will receive a $50 gift card for the GHC Bookstore!
Vintage Photos & More Prizes
Vintage holiday photos will be collected for various trivia and guessing games throughout our December updates. Please send your vintage photos to holiday2017@highlands.edu
The winners of these games will have their choice of prizes from a selection of GHC specialty goodies compliments of Marcom (GHC Marketing & Communication).
