Next week all of our locations will be having a day (or days) to celebrate our First Generation college students. New Student and Retention Programs will be partnering with Student Life to have a table with buttons for our first generation students, snacks for all, and a graffiti wall for students to voice why it is important to be the first in the family to go to college.

We also have buttons for faculty and staff who were the first in their families to graduate. If you were a first generation college student and have not received a button and would like one, please email Crystal Edenfield at cedenfie@highlands.edu.

We would love for faculty and staff to wear their buttons next week, as well as participate in writing on the wall. Let me know if you have any questions.
