VIEWING THE ECLIPSE

As you know, a solar eclipse will be occurring across the country on Monday, August 21.  In preparation for this exciting event, we wanted to provide a few safety resources that you may want to share with your campus community.

Viewing the sun or a partial solar eclipse without proper eyewear can cause damage to the eyes.   The CDC website provides great information on how to safely view the eclipse with the proper eyewear through the following link:  https://www.cdc.gov/features/solar-eclipse-safety/index.html

In addition, our vision provider, EyeMed, provided the following link to their website explaining the proper eyewear for viewing the eclipse:  http://starthere.eyemed.com/theword/august-15-2017/?pid=17112

Happy viewing!
