Book a Library Instruction Class for ANY Assignment!

Welcome to the Spring Semester from Your Friendly Librarians!

Research can be overwhelming for students unfamiliar with the process. But never fear, librarians are here to help! We can come to your class for a few minutes (or an hour) and give your students a solid foundation on which to build their assignments. Whether your students need to learn the basics of academic research or refine what they know as they attempt lengthier term projects, a library instruction class can help students become more comfortable with critical searching and information literacy skills, connect them with the resources that will best serve their assignment, and improve the quality of their sources and citations. We will create an online library guide, customized to your class’s needs, packed full of useful information; you can just tell us about the assignment and we’ll do the rest! Want some hands-on research? We can do that too! Teaching an upper level course? Remember not all students have had library instruction in their previous classes, even a short refresher can make a big difference!

Faculty who have any kind of assignment that requires sources are especially encouraged to book an instruction session, but we’re also happy to visit your class just to wax rhapsodic about the virtues of the library! All you need to do to get started is to submit a request:

Please feel free to contact me for more information. Remember to book early, because teaching slots fill up fast! You – and your students – will be happy you did!

Don’t Forget!!

We have EMBEDDED LIBRARIANS!!  Teaching online?  We can embed in your course!
