Lady Chargers defeat Atlanta Metro College

Behind a strong performance from Sophomore Pam Diokpara the Lady Chargers get a GCAA Conference win at the Corral 79-66 over the Lady Trailblazers of Atlanta Metro College. GHC got off t0 a fast start in the first period taking a 8 point lead. The Lady Trailblazers came roaring back tying the game up at the 3:05 mark in the first period at 14. GHC led at the half 44 -31. The Lady Chargers started the fourth and final period with pressing defense that caused 17 turnovers on the night for the Lady Trailblazers, and that was enough to seal the win. ” We played really well moving the ball around, and had a good night offensively having four players in doubled digits in scoring, a great balanced attack,” said Lady Charger Head Coach Brandan Harrell. GHC was led by Pam Diokpara with 28 points and 19 rebounds, Briana Davis with 13 points, and Maria Crider and Taylor Harris with 10 points each.

The Lady Chargers go to (7-11) on the year and (2-0) in GCAA Conference play. The Lady Chargers return to action at home at the Corral on Saturday versus South Georgia Tech, tip off 2;00pm.
