Men’s basketball coach Phil Gaffney knew the odds were not in Georgia Highlands’ favor.

The normally hot-handed Chargers were not quite themselves through the first half of their bout with Central Georgia Tech on Saturday afternoon.

But then the perseverance and determination of a team hungry for another shot at a national title kicked in. And they’ll get to raise another banner at the GHC Corral.
