GHC rolls into tonight’s Region 17 Quarter Final Game fresh off two weekend wins. The Chargers defeated Georgia Perimeter College 89-86 on the road Friday night. On Saturday GHC went on the road and defeated Gordon State College by a score of 84-67. Montrel Goldston led the way with 20 points and 5 steals. Taquan Givens added 18 points in only 8 shots. Aqvavious Young led the way for Gordon State with 24 points.
The winner of tonight’s game will advance to take on the winner of Georgia Perimeter/ South Georgia Tech game on Friday. If South Georgia State wins their Quarter Final Game tonight, the Semi-Final and Finals will be held in Waycross, GA. If they lose and GHC wins, all games will be held in Rome, GA.
Congratulations to Ty Toney and Donovan Harris, as they were named to the All-Region Teams. Ty was a first team selection, garnering the second most votes. Ty averaged 17.5 ppg, 3.5 rpg, and 2.4 apg.
