Managing Conflict Productively

The Center for University Learning at Kennesaw State University is hosting a special session of Managing Conflict Productively – Professionally and Personally with Conflict Dynamics Profile expert Dennis M. Dennis, PhD and course author Kevin Gecowets, MSOB. You are invited to attend Thursday, June 5th, 2014 from 9:00AM to 4:30PM, at cost for $85 per person.

Failing to manage conflict within our organizations costs us money, time, talent and even lawsuits. Managing Conflict Productively – Professionally and Personally, is a workshop designed to help people identify their own conflict behaviors, then focus on how to utilize constructive responses to conflict and avoid destructive behaviors. The course includes an Individual Conflict Dynamics Profile® report for each participant.

Upon completion of this class and follow-up assignments, participants will:
– Understand the constructive and destructive paths of conflict – the dynamics of how conflict works.
– Practice behaviors that are known to prevent or resolve conflict productively.
– Assess current skills in managing conflict using a powerful online tool, The Conflict Dynamics Profile.
– Identify one’s own “hot buttons” that can trigger a conflict situation.
– Develop a personal plan for managing conflict more productively.
