Holly Hampton recently received fifth place in the annual cartooning contest sponsored by the Associated Collegiate Press for work published in the 2012-13 Six Mile Post. No distinction was made in the judging between entries submitted by two- and four-year college students. Over 150 cartoons and comic strips were entered in the contest. The award was announced Oct. 26 at the National College Media Convention in New Orleans.
