Graduation Requirements

Each student who plans to graduate from Georgia Highlands College must complete the Graduation Application Form at least one semester prior to the term of degree completion.

You will be sent an evaluation of your course credits and advised of any requirements needed to graduate within 2 to 4 weeks after submission of the application. During peak time, this may be longer.

Diplomas are not issued during the commencement ceremony. All spring graduates’ diplomas will be available for pickup on June 15th on the Rome campus. If you want your diploma sent to another campus please email us at sbeideck@highlands.edu. We strongly suggest that you pick up your diploma in order to avoid issues with the postal service such as damaged or lost diplomas. Diplomas not picked up will be mailed July 15th. Diplomas not picked up or received within a year will be subject to a $25 replacement fee. Please make certain we have your current mailing address on file by checking your SCORE account.

Diplomas and transcripts will not be released if you have a financial obligation to the College. This obligation may be a financial aid exit interview for loan students, fines at the library or business office hold. You may check your holds on SCORE. It is the student’s responsibility to clear all holds or financial obligations.
