Competitive league soccer and volleyball talent showcase to be held at GHC

Georgia Highlands College (GHC) will host competitive league sports talent showcase events for recent high school graduates interested in competitive soccer and volleyball. Registration is now open for the soccer talent showcase on May 30 in Rome (Floyd Campus, 3175 Cedartown Hwy., Rome, GA) and the volleyball talent showcase on June 6 in Cartersville (Cartersville Site, 5441 Hwy. 20 NE, Cartersville, GA).

The May 30 soccer talent showcase will be held at the Floyd Campus soccer field at 10AM, and the June 6 volleyball talent showcase will be held at the Cartersville site gym at 4PM.

GHC is adding four new sports to a growing list of competitive league sports now available to new and current students. Forming teams include men’s and women’s soccer, women’s volleyball, cross country and cheerleading. Basketball and eSports were also recently added. 

More than 100 have previously registered for talent showcase events, and matches are already scheduled against Shorter University in volleyball and Oxford College of Emory University in soccer.
