During the closing awards ceremony for Academic Showcase, we have historically honored an alumnus with an award. We will now change the Distinguished Alumni Award to an Emerging Leader Alumni Award. At Academic Showcase this year, we want to recognize an early-to-mid career graduate of GHC. We will still award it at the Showcase but with wider input from the GHC community.
This revised award is designed to honor our most promising alumni. The criteria for this new award are as follows:
- graduation from GHC within the past 15 years.
- leadership or significant accomplishment in civic and/or professional activities.
- unselfish and effective service to the local, state, and/or national community.
- enthusiasm and excitement about the education they received at GHC.
- willingness to deliver the keynote address at the Academic Showcase.
Does this sound like someone you know? If so, please pass their name and a brief rationale on why you nominated them via this form before Wednesday, February 21st. We will then ask the academic deans to select the winner from the community’s pool of nominations.
