In May, the Orientation Committee introduced the plans for our orientations this summer. Our summer orientations are now complete and we are moving into the Fall orientations. We used the smaller orientations in the summer to help plan for our larger ones in the fall. There are a few changes that we want to be sure everyone is aware of.
Please read through the links below to have a better understanding of what students will receive before they begin at GHC.
- Process Map for Virtual Orientation– this will give you the overall picture of orientation
- Digital Orientation Packet– spend some time reading this document. You will learn a TON! This is brand new and we are really proud of it.
- Major Exploration Website– this is where students sign up to participate in a Major Exploration session.
In case you miss some of the details, we want to make sure you know these important differences in the virtual orientations for FALL:
- *NEW for Fall* Students do participate in an optional live orientation. The zoom link to the orientation is in their Check Application Status or in their welcome email from GHC Orientation.
- *NEW for Fall* Their welcome email will be sent to their Student Email.
- Students are now pre-registered for their first term at GHC.
- Since we are not on campus, student services are available in drop-in zoom sessions every Wednesday 9-1 (link in the process map).
Thank you for taking the time to read through this so we can all help our new Chargers!
