It is with deep sadness that we report GHC has lost one of our own. Morgan R. Rentz passed away from a sudden illness on Thursday, March 5. Morgan was a 2017 graduate of Armuchee High School and a sophomore at GHC enrolled in the Early Childhood Education pathway. She worked part-time at the Renaissance Marquis Assisted Living facility across from the Floyd Campus, as well as working at Starbucks Coffee.

Morgan will be remembered by family and friends for her kind, sweet, loving spirit that combined with her sense of humor, could make the worst of times better. Her personality filled the room and she had an ability to connect to people that made them feel special. In a final act of goodwill for others, she chose to generously donate her organs.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at 2pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, with the Rev. Mac McCurry officiating.

Morgan’s smile and positive attitude will be missed here at GHC.
