Please join us in welcoming the new Healthcare Management Assistant Professor Jay Pickern. Currently living in Rome, Jay grew up in Florida and has spent the last ten years in Nashville, TN. He has a Doctor of Business Administration degree and has co-authored peer reviewed articles in the Journal of Organizational Psychology and the Journal of Management Policy & Practice. He also became the first student ever at his university to defend a dissertation before finishing the doctoral coursework. For the past year, he has been a Business Management Instructor at GNTC. Prior to that, he spent six and a half years at Aetna in a variety of management and individual contributor roles focusing on pharmacy claim analytics and performance management. Jay loves to travel, preferably anywhere with a beach. He can also be found at my nephew’s baseball games or playing the keyboard at Northside Church on Sunday mornings. I also have a rescue dog (a chiweenie) named Beatrice. Give Jay a warm welcome to his new role at GHC!
