What are Budget Hearings?
Annually, GHC holds budget hearings in order to allocate new funding in innovative ways that directly relate to our strategic plan and mission. Academic Deans and Divisional Leaders present the needs of their areas for consideration in the upcoming budget process. Once all requests have been presented, the Leadership team evaluates the compiled listing based on need and available funding.
Who can attend?
This year the Budget Hearings will be open for observation by all Faculty and Staff. If you are interested, please be sure to communicate with your manager in advance for approval to attend.
Why should I attend?
Budget Hearings are extremely informative, and provide a great opportunity to learn about different things happening within the institution. They also provide a stronger understanding of how the institution allocates funding, while learning more about the needs throughout the different divisions.
