CAR Update – car.highlands.edu

The University System of Georgia’s system-wide initiative called the Comprehensive Administrative Review (CAR) is entering the next stage in the initiative’s process at Georgia Highlands College.

The USG contracted the Huron Consulting Group to provide one of the most thorough and comprehensive data collections around administrative activities ever conducted within the USG. Huron met with GHC and conducted its surveys and assessments of the college late last year.

Huron’s data and reports are turned over to a campus-level action group that is charged with additional analysis, further interviews, and meeting with campus constituencies.

Per USG expectations, GHC’s Analysis Team has been charged with studying data to find potential efficiencies in our administrative processes, based on data from the Huron study. Over the next few months, the team will study the data and research procedures and opportunities across the institution in order to present findings and recommendations to the GHC Leadership Team. Leadership will then put together a draft action plan to send back to the USG that outlines steps we’re proposing to improve our operations.
