Faculty Template Page

In order to provide a unified approach to consistently presenting similar information on all GHC faculty, each GHC faculty member now has a customizable directory webpage. We have named this the “Faculty Template Page”. When the Highlands website is searched for a specific faculty member, a link to the faculty member’s template page will now be returned within the search results. Additionally, this system is now linked in several other locations around our www instance, such as faculty links from divisional pages.

The GHC Faculty Template Page is pre-populated with the basic contact information (name, GHC phone extension, & email) associated with the faculty member. However, there are many more facets to the page that may be updated by each faculty member to make the page more robust. Faculty can add as much or little extra information, as desired. These include: professional name as it should appear to the academic community, primary office location, current office hours, education, interests, resume, curriculum vitae, a choice of linking to D2L or relevant onsite course information, and an additional information section that can be updated with special information about the faculty member during pivotal periods.

• After logging in, the faculty member should update their portrait using a landscape-oriented image. Faculty may also review each topic and decide which areas to provide additional information about.
