Forecasting Accrued Leave in OneUSG

Currently, the functionality to forecast accrued leave is not accessible in OneUSG. It is expected to be updated on the release scheduled for June 2018. OneUSG is processing leave accruals as expected, but the ability to forecast your balances on a future date is not currently functioning.

Sick Leave with Pay Eligibility

  • Regular employees scheduled to work 20 to 40 hours per week shall earn paid sick leave.
  • A regular employee scheduled to work 40 hours shall earn paid sick leave at the rate of 8    hours per month. The accrual rate for sick leave for an hourly employee will be based upon the standard work commitment.
  • A regular employee scheduled to work 20 hours or more but less than 40 hours shall accrue sick leave prorated based on full-time employment.
  • Academic year and 12-month faculty shall earn paid sick leave at the rate 8 hours per month.
  • Academic year faculty (10-month) teaching during the summer months will earn sick leave. Full-time summer employment has been determined to be 9 credit hours. Faculty teaching 9 credit hours will accrue 8 hours paid sick leave per month. Faculty teaching fewer than 9 credit hours will accrue paid sick leave on a prorated basis.
  • An employee scheduled to work less than one-half time (20 hours) shall not be eligible to accrue sick leave.
  • Temporary employees are not eligible to earn paid sick leave.

Annual Leave Eligibility

Faculty

Fiscal Year (12-month) Faculty

A full-time faculty member employed on a 12-month or fiscal year basis shall be entitled to vacation/annual leave earned at the rate of one and three-fourths working days (14 hours) per month.

Administrative Officer*

A full-time administrative officer employed on a 12-month or fiscal year basis shall be entitled to vacation/annual leave earned at the rate of one and three-fourths working days (14 hours) per month.  *GHC defines full-time administrative officer as an active member of the Executive Cabinet.

Academic Year (10-Month) Faculty

A faculty member employed on an academic year (10-month) basis does not earn vacation/annual leave.

Regular Staff

  • Regular classified employees (professional, administrative, and non-exempt) scheduled to work 20 hours or more shall earn paid vacation/annual leave.
  • A regular employee scheduled to work 40 hours shall be entitled to vacation/annual leave earned at the rate of:
    • One and one-fourth working days per month (10 hours) for each of the first five years of continuous employment;
    • One and one-half working days per month (12 hours) for each of the next five years of continuous employment; and,
    • One and three-fourths working days per month (14 hours) for each year after the completion of ten years of continuous employment.
