Green Highlands, along with Keep Bartow Beautiful and Bartow County Government are sponsoring our annual Great American Clean-Up (GAC) event in memory of Gene Thacker, developer of Bartow County’s Recycling Center.

This years Keep America Beautiful GAC theme is “Clean your Block Party”, and we plan to do just that! Volunteer teams will register in the student center and will be assigned a clean-up site within a 5 mile radius of campus.  Groups will then return for lunch and festivities.  This is always a fun way for students to join forces and beautify our community (feel free to offer extra credit)! This year we would like to encourage more faculty/staff participation by challenging GHC departments to participate as volunteer teams, as well!!

When: Earth Day, Saturday, April 22nd, 2017 9:00am – Noon
