GHC Counselors, Angie Wheelus, Tara Holdampf and Dorothy Morgan recently attended the 24th Annual Georgia College Counseling Association Conference (GCCA) held in St. Simons GA.

The theme of this year’s conference was Connect, Equip, Lead! There were various workshops on topics related to addressing the needs of Veterans, Athletes and International Students. These workshops provide continuing education for Counselors, Psychologists and Social Workers. Some of the continuing education was on Suicide Prevention, Outreach, Eating Disorders, Substance Abuse and Social & Cultural Diversity Ethics.

Two of GHC’s Counselors now serve on the GCCA Council. Having served as President-Elect for GCCA during the 2016-2017 year, congratulations to Angie Wheelus as she assumes her role as President of GCCA for 2017-2018 and to Dorothy Morgan on becoming the Northwest Georgia Regional Rep.
