During the month of April, Keep America Beautiful Great American Clean-Up (GAC) events are held across the country.  Each year Green Highlands and other student organizations, along with Keep Bartow Beautiful host the Gene Thacker Memorial Clean-Up in honor of this nationwide campaign.  We typically host about 50-100 volunteers on our Cartersville Campus the day of the event and send out teams within a 5 mile radius of the college to clean and “green” our community.  All volunteers receive t-shirts and lunch! We also give away prizes to the teams with the most unusual item, most recyclables, etc.  It is truly a FUN, family friendly event and one I personally look forward to each year.

The 2016 GAC will be held on Saturday, April 23rd.  9:00 a.m.- Noon.  Registration and lunch will be served in the Cartersville Student Center. Please arrive no later than 9:00am to register!
